Welcome to Northside Community Education

We are excited to announce to the creation of Northside Community Education (NCE). NCE is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to create opportunities for education, recreation and citizen involvement. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life for our community through a centralized community education and recreation program.

We strive to create a sense of community through opportunities for active recreation, informal non-credit classes/courses and volunteerism. We will serve residents from birth through senior adulthood with a variety of programs and activities and provide scholarship opportunities to those that are in need.

We are pleased to launch our first edition of the Northside Community Education Directory that lists classes and programs that are already happening within our community. We invite you to take part in a class/program or participate in a special activity. Our directory is an informational resource for all community members in West Klickitat County and East Skamania County.

Our Classes & Programs

Art & Culture: The Columbia Gorge is rich in arts and culture, represented in these classes, from wooden boat building to blacksmithing and glass-blowing.

Recreation & Outdoors: We live in one of the best places on earth for recreational opportunities, activities and outdoor experiences. Information on youth and adult sports, fitness classes and more can be found here.

Personal Enrichment: Education is a lifelong journey. Listings here cover everything from parenting classes to AARP driver safety...a wide range of topics to improve and enrich different areas of your life.

Clubs & Organizations: Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4-H, and after-school programs. Social, educational, and recreational clubs and organizations for kids and adults.
