Welcome to Northside Community Education
Northside Community Education is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to create opportunities for education, recreation and citizen involvement. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life for our community through a centralized community education and recreation program.
Northside strives to create a sense of community through opportunities for active recreation, informal non-credit classes/courses and volunteerism. The programs are designed for all ages. Northside has established a scholarship program to ensure all community members have the opportunity to take advantage of the programs and services offered by Northside Community Ed. The newest schedule of classes was mailed with the White Salmon Valley School District's Bear News to residents district wide. Additional copies of the schedule are available at the White Salmon Valley Community Library, the Mt. Adam's Chamber of Commerce and by clicking the link below. Northside looks forward to providing a class schedule quarterly. Community involvement is key to the success of Northside. Our Classes & Programs
Art & Culture: The Columbia Gorge is rich in arts and culture, represented in these classes, from wooden boat building to blacksmithing and glass-blowing.
Recreation & Outdoors: We live in one of the best places on earth for recreational opportunities, activities and outdoor experiences. Information on youth and adult sports, fitness classes and more can be found here.
Personal Enrichment: Education is a lifelong journey. Listings here cover everything from parenting classes to AARP driver safety...a wide range of topics to improve and enrich different areas of your life.
Clubs & Organizations: Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4-H, and after-school programs. Social, educational, and recreational clubs and organizations for kids and adults.
